Insense review

Insense suits UGC creators in supported countries who pass its moderation. Brands lock in payment when they hire you, Insense says it takes no fee on earnings, and withdrawals reach PayPal within days. The trade-off is low pay per deal and a perpetual license on your content. Influencers chasing big posting fees should look elsewhere.

Ranked 6 of 16 on our platform list. Checked October 20, 2026 by the Paid Brand Deals editorial team. Insense did not pay for this review, and nothing here is sponsored.

Best for. UGC creators in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the EU who want paid briefs with the money held up front.

Not for. Creators below 1,000 followers without a UGC portfolio, and influencers who want large fees for posting to their own feeds.

How does Insense work for creators?

Insense is a UGC-first marketplace where creators apply to brand campaigns from a mobile app and get paid from money the brand locks in at hire. You download the free app, connect Instagram or TikTok, and pass a moderation check. Then you browse campaigns and apply.

Insense runs two main kinds of work. UGC campaigns pay you to make content the brand uses without you posting it. Influencer campaigns pay you to make content and post it on your Instagram or TikTok. Briefs can also include product seeding, Meta partnership ads, affiliate deals, TikTok Shop, and TikTok Spark Ads. Some briefs are barter deals that pay in product only.

You set an average price in your account and a specific price when you apply, and you can negotiate with the brand. Insense says brands usually pick creators 5 to 10 business days after a campaign goes live. Its FAQ suggests applying to at least 20 campaigns to land one, so expect a numbers game at the start.

Who can join Insense?

Insense moderation automatically rejects Instagram and TikTok accounts under 1,000 followers and 1,000 average views. The help center adds that brands prefer engagement of at least 1%. You also need a portfolio uploaded in the app with at least four videos, two video types, two niches, and one clip where you speak on camera or do a voiceover.

Insense limits creators to a set list of places. The moderation article names the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union, plus Brazil, Japan, the UAE, Singapore, and Morocco. The creator terms require you to be over the age of majority where you live.

Small accounts have a second route. If moderation rejects you for metrics rather than content quality, you can apply as a UGC-only creator. That needs 6 to 12 videos across at least two product categories and two formats, with both on-camera and voiceover examples and no filters or watermarks. UGC-only creators can only join campaigns that do not require posting. If you are rejected, you can reapply after 14 days.

How much do Insense deals pay, and what does Insense take?

Insense's creator help center says it charges no fees on creator earnings. The only charge it lists is a $3 bank fee when you withdraw less than $50. Withdraw in amounts of $50 or more and you keep the full fee.

Brands carry the platform costs. Insense's pricing page lists brand plans from $400 a month and a marketplace fee of 7% to 20% on each creator payment, plus a separate transaction fee. Those charges sit on the brand's bill, not yours.

One clause is worth watching. The creator terms, last modified 29 May 2026, say Insense may charge a percentage of creator fees as a commission for transferring them. No percentage is stated, and the help center says no fee applies today.

UGC work pays modestly per deal. Insense's creator page features one creator with 209+ partnerships and $34,637 earned, which is about $166 per partnership. That is one featured creator, not an average. Insense says it has paid out $8 million to creators since 2020. Our rate calculator can help you price UGC so a $150 deal is worth the hours.

How and when do you get paid on Insense?

Insense takes the agreed payment from the brand's account as soon as you are hired and holds it until the deal closes. Once the brand approves your content and finishes the deal, the money moves to your wallet in the app. Insense says payment is guaranteed if you deliver what the brief describes.

You withdraw to PayPal or a bank account. The help center says PayPal takes up to 5 business days and a bank takes up to 7. Bank withdrawals need a 9-digit routing number, which points to US accounts.

The terms protect you from slow brands. The brand terms say a brand must respond within 21 days of receiving your content, or the campaign closes automatically and you are paid. The creator terms include up to 3 rounds of revisions in your fee, with extra rounds costing more. If a brand still refuses to approve after those rounds, you are owed at least 50% of the agreed fee. Our guide to getting paid on time covers what to do when that is not enough.

What rights do brands get to your Insense content?

The Insense creator terms say you own your content but grant Insense a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license that it can pass to the brand. The license covers organic and paid use on digital channels and connected TV. UGC delivered without a post is licensed perpetually from the approval date.

Paid ads get a default limit. If the brief does not set a duration for paid ads, the terms set it at 30 days. Check every brief for that line, and charge more when a brand asks for longer ad use. Our usage rights guide explains how.

Exclusivity runs for 12 months. After you accept the terms, you must use Insense as your only channel with brands you meet there, and your campaign content can only be licensed through Insense. The terms also treat AI-generated versions of your campaign content as approved by you if you do not object within 14 days, so read your notifications.

Is Insense worth it?

Insense is worth joining for UGC creators in the supported countries who can pass moderation. Money held at hire, a 21-day review deadline, a 50% floor on rejected work, and no fee on earnings add up to some of the best payment protection among open marketplaces.

Skip it if you are an influencer who wants large fees for posting, or if a perpetual license on your work is a dealbreaker. Creators who fail moderation can try Collabstr, which publishes no follower minimum. Creators focused on UGC should also compare Billo and JoinBrands.
