Billo review
Billo is a fair first stop for camera-comfortable creators in the US, UK, or Canada who want paid video work without needing an audience. Regular creators earn $30 to $75 per video from a published table, and Billo takes no cut. Skip it if you want to grow your own channel, since brands own every video outright.
Ranked 5 of 16 on our platform list. Checked October 21, 2026 by the Paid Brand Deals editorial team. Billo did not pay for this review, and nothing here is sponsored.
Best for. Creators in the US, UK, or Canada who can film clean product videos and want flat per-video pay without a follower count.
Not for. Creators who want sponsored work on their own feed or want to keep any rights to the footage.

- Extra hooks, photos, and leftover footage can be sold for more
What doesn't
- Only open to creators in the US, UK, and Canada
- Brands get irrevocable, worldwide ownership of each video
- Regular-tier rates are low for a scripted shoot plus reshoots
- Late uploads lower your delivery score and can pause your account
How does Billo work for creators?
Billo is a user-generated content marketplace where brands order short product videos and pay a fixed rate per video. You film the video, upload it in the Billo Creator app, and the brand uses it in its own ads and channels. The video does not go on your feed unless the brand pays separately for an organic post.
Most work starts with an application. Brands post offers, and you browse them in the app's Explore tab, filtered by category, video length, earnings, and whether a product ships. Billo's help center says brands usually pick creators within 3 to 4 days. Brands can also invite you directly, and you get 24 hours to respond.
Once a brand approves you, it ships the product, and you keep it. Billo's rules give you 5 days from delivery to upload the video and 48 hours to upload any edits.
Who can join Billo?
Billo is open to creators who are 18 or older and based in the US, the UK, or Canada. There is no follower minimum. Billo may ask for a passport or ID card to confirm who you are.
The real gate is the video pitch. You record a pitch of 30 seconds or less in English, shot vertically at 1080p or better, with no text, music, or filters. Billo reviews it within 7 business days. If it fails, you get feedback and can upload a new one.
After approval you are a Regular creator. Billo offers the Premium tier once you have 14 approved videos, at least 5 rated videos, an average rating of 4.8 or higher, and an on-time delivery score of 90% or more.
How much do Billo deals pay, and what does Billo take?
Billo pays Regular creators $30 to $75 per video and Premium creators $70 to $120, depending on video length. These are the rates in Billo's creator payout table:
| Video length | Regular creator | Premium creator |
|---|---|---|
| 15 seconds | $30 | $70 |
| 30 seconds | $40 | $80 |
| 60 seconds | $55 | $90 |
| 90 seconds | $65 | $105 |
| 120 seconds | $75 | $120 |
Extra hooks pay $15 each at any tier, and a set of 4 photos pays $40. When a brief asks for more than usual, the brand can add a bonus, and Billo folds it into the guaranteed payment shown on the offer.
Billo takes nothing out of these amounts. Brands pay from $99 per video, and Billo's billing article says that price covers the creator payout, Billo's software, and transaction fees. You can also sell leftover clips and photos from a shoot. You set the price, Billo adds 25% on top for the brand, and you keep your full asking price.
Paid posting is a separate service. You can list a price for posting the video on Instagram or TikTok for 30 days, or for granting Meta partnership ad or TikTok Spark Ad access. Billo publishes no typical rate for these, so check the rate calculator before you set one.
How and when does Billo pay?
Billo pays creators through Stripe every Monday, once a payout has cleared 3 days after the brand approves the video. Until Monday the money sits in your Stripe balance, and Billo says the transfer usually reaches your bank within 1 to 2 business days.
Billo covers transfer fees, and you can pick your payout currency. Reshoot payments and reimbursements go out with the next Monday payout. Referral rewards of $20 per referred creator, and other bonuses, are added in the first week of each month.
Brands pay Billo when they create the order, so the money exists before you film. If the brand asks for edits, the video goes back to pending, and the payout resumes once the brand approves it again. Billo tells creators never to accept payment outside the platform.
What rights do brands get to your Billo videos?
Billo brands get full ownership of every video they approve and pay for. Billo's brand terms, effective September 23, 2026, say creators are bound to irrevocably assign all intellectual property rights in the video to the brand, worldwide and for the full length of those rights. That covers editing the video, using your face and voice as shown, running it as a paid ad in any medium, and sublicensing it.
There is one carve-out. Brands may not use AI to generate a materially different version of your voice, likeness, clothing, or location without your separate written consent. Ordinary AI editing, such as captions, cropping, and translation, is allowed. Billo also keeps a perpetual license to show approved videos on its platform and in its own marketing.
Partnership ads sit apart from the video rights. If you sell account-level Meta partnership access, the brand can run ads under your handle for at least 30 days, and Billo tells creators to switch the permission off themselves after that. Read usage rights and whitelisting before you offer it.
Is Billo worth it?
Billo is worth it for creators who want paid practice and a portfolio, and who are fine handing over the footage. The rates are public, Billo takes no cut, and cleared payouts go out every Monday. You know what a task pays before you apply, and you know when the money arrives.
The trade-off is the price of the work. A Regular 60-second video pays $55 for a scripted shoot, an edit, and possible reshoots, and the brand owns it for good. Creators in Australia or Germany, where Billo is closed, can try JoinBrands. Creators who already charge more per video should compare Insense. Creators who want brands to pay for posts on their own feed should start with Collabstr.
