Collabstr review
Collabstr is a good first marketplace for creators who want brands to buy priced packages without a pitch. Brands pay into escrow before you start, and payouts release on approval. The cost is steep, since Collabstr keeps 15% of every payout. Skip it for deals you can close by email, and compare Insense if you mainly make UGC.
Ranked 2 of 16 on our platform list. Checked October 20, 2026 by the Paid Brand Deals editorial team. Collabstr did not pay for this review, and nothing here is sponsored.
Best for. Creators who want brands to buy priced packages straight from their profile, with the money held in escrow first.
Not for. Creators who already close deals by email and do not want to hand over 15% of each one.
What works
- Brands pay into escrow before you start work
- You set your own package prices and can ask for a new price mid-order
- No published follower minimum, so UGC-only creators can sell
- Payouts release on approval, or automatically after 72 hours of brand silence plus a 10-day buffer
- Withdrawals to PayPal, bank transfer, or regional methods in 150+ currencies
What doesn't
- Collabstr keeps 15% of every payout
- Brands get unlimited revisions as long as they fit the original order
- A credit card is required and can be charged for policy violations
- Letting an order expire can lower your marketplace ranking
- No published timeline for withdrawals through Dots
How does Collabstr work for creators?
Collabstr is a marketplace where brands buy content packages that creators list and price on their own profiles. A package is a fixed offer, such as one Instagram Reel or three TikTok videos, with a content type, a price, and an optional description. Brands can buy a package as listed or send a custom offer that sets the platform, content type, and price.
Collabstr also runs a campaign board. Brands post campaigns when they want several creators at once, and you apply with your rate, your portfolio, and a short pitch. An accepted application turns into an order automatically, so payment and approval work the same way as a package sale.
New orders land in your Requests tab. You have 72 hours to accept or decline, and you can extend once by another 72 hours while you talk to the brand. If you let an order expire, the brand gets a refund and your ranking can drop. Collabstr scores that ranking on response rate, completion rate, profile strength, and reviews, and flags anything below 90% as needing work.
Who can join Collabstr?
Collabstr is free to join, but its team reviews every creator profile and the help center says not all applications are approved. You claim a username at collabstr.com/creator and finish setup in the iOS or Android app. Collabstr does not publish a follower minimum.
Collabstr asks every creator for a credit card to verify identity. The help center says the card is not charged for normal use. It can be charged if you break the rules, for example by accepting a free product and never delivering the content.
Collabstr's help pages tell creators to build separate packages for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Brands can also search a UGC category, so creators who deliver files without posting them have a place too.
Collabstr does not list eligible countries. Its payout partner, Dots, supports PayPal, gift cards, and local bank transfers in more than 150 currencies. Regional options include ACH and Venmo in the US, SEPA in the eurozone, Bacs in the UK, and UPI in India.
How much do Collabstr deals pay, and what does Collabstr take?
Collabstr keeps 15% of every order payout. On a $200 package, that leaves you $170. Brands pay their own 10% fee on top at checkout, or less on a paid subscription, so that charge never comes out of your price.
That 15% is high for this category. Aspire says it never takes a percentage of creator payments, and Insense says it charges no fee on creator earnings. You pay Collabstr for bringing you the buyer and holding the money, and that is only worth it on deals you would not have found yourself.
You set every price, so there is no standard Collabstr rate. Orders have a $50 minimum. Collabstr's own advice is to start with competitive rates, then raise them as reviews and demand grow. Build the 15% into your package prices from day one. Our rate calculator and guide to brand deal rates can help you pick a starting number.
You can ask for more money after an order starts. If a brand changes the platform, the deliverables, or the scope, you can request a new price while the order is in the Request or In-Progress state. The brand must approve, and the extra amount goes into escrow before you continue.
How and when do you get paid on Collabstr?
Collabstr releases your payout to your Collabstr balance as soon as the brand approves your content. The brand pays in full when it places the order, and Collabstr holds that money in escrow until approval. After you submit, the brand has 72 hours to approve or ask for a revision. If the brand says nothing, Collabstr marks the order complete and releases the payout after a 10-day buffer.
Withdrawals run through Dots. You track earnings in the Earnings tab and see payout history in a Dots dashboard. Collabstr does not publish how long a withdrawal takes to reach your bank or PayPal.
Revisions are the catch. Collabstr allows unlimited revisions as long as they match the original order requirements. A vague package description gives the brand room to keep asking. Spell out the number of posts, video length, and turnaround in every package, because that text is what "original requirements" gets measured against.
You can also back out of an in-progress order. You request cancellation with a reason, and the brand has 72 hours to accept. If the brand does not respond, the order cancels and the brand gets its money back. If the brand and you disagree, Collabstr support reviews the case and decides.
What rights do brands get to your Collabstr content?
Collabstr treats usage rights as part of each order. Some packages include usage rights by default, and the package details must say so. When rights are not included, the brand can request them at checkout, and they only apply once you accept the order.
Price usage separately from the content. A brand that runs your video as a paid ad for six months gets far more value than one that reposts it once. If a brand asks for usage rights on a package that does not include them, quote a higher price before you accept. Our guide to usage rights, whitelisting, and Spark Ads explains how to set that number.
Is Collabstr worth it?
Collabstr is worth joining if you want brands to buy from you without pitching, and you can price your packages so the 15% cut still leaves a fair fee. It suits UGC creators and smaller accounts, because there is no published follower minimum and the brand buys a defined package rather than your audience size. Escrow at order time and the 72-hour approval clock make it a reasonable place to take a first paid deal.
Treat it as a side channel if you already land deals by email. Giving up 15% of a deal you could have closed directly is expensive. Creators with 10,000 or more followers who would rather be matched to brand campaigns than sell packages should look at #paid. Creators who mostly make UGC should compare Insense before listing packages here.

Collabstr questions
Does Collabstr take a cut from creators?
Yes. Collabstr keeps 15% of every order payout. Brands also pay a 10% fee at checkout, or less on a paid plan, but that fee is added on top of your price and does not come out of it.
How long does Collabstr take to pay creators?
Collabstr releases your payout to your balance as soon as the brand approves the content. If the brand does not respond within 72 hours of your submission, the order completes automatically and the payout follows after a 10-day buffer. You then withdraw through Dots to PayPal, a bank, or a local method.
How many followers do you need for Collabstr?
Collabstr does not publish a follower minimum. Its team reviews every profile for identity and quality, and the help center says not all applications are approved. Clear profile images, past content examples, and a filled-in description help your odds.
Is Collabstr safe for creators?
Collabstr holds the brand's money in escrow from the moment an order is placed, which protects you from brands that disappear after getting your content. The trade-offs are the 15% fee and unlimited revisions within the original order requirements.
