How does LTK work for creators?

LTK is a shopping app and affiliate network where creators earn commission on products they post. You publish shoppable posts in the LTK Creator app, and shoppers buy through your links on LTK or on your social channels. LTK says 8,000 integrated retailers pay commission on sales and 40 million consumers shop from LTK creators each month.

LTK used to operate as rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it. Those names now sit under the LTK brand, and some LTK pages still carry the rewardStyle name.

Paid brand work runs on top of the affiliate base. LTK's creator launch page lists commission on every sale, gifts and discount codes, and paid brand campaigns. LTK's UK creator page says creators who share product links regularly are the ones considered for sponsored campaigns.

Who can join LTK?

LTK accepts creators by application, and its application page asks for over 5,000 followers on at least one platform. It also wants high-quality shoppable content posted daily. LTK's UK FAQ applies the same 5,000-follower minimum to applicants outside the US and Canada.

LTK's launch page describes the creators it wants: a public social profile with consistent original content, posts about brands and products you use, and an engaged, growing audience. After approval, LTK expects you to post shoppable content at least 10 times in your first 30 days. The same page asks new creators to download the LTK Creator app, personalize their shop, and follow @LTKHQ. The UK creator page says approved creators get a dedicated account manager.

If you are turned down, an LTK blog post from December 2023 says most creators who reapply successfully spend at least 60 days building their audience first. The post sets no formal waiting period.

How much does LTK pay, and what does LTK take?

LTK pays most creators through commission, and its UK FAQ says brands typically offer 10% to 25%. Its UK creator page says rates can reach 30%. Each retailer sets its own rate, so a $200 order at a 10% rate generates $20 of commission.

LTK does not publish what share of retailer commissions it keeps. Its pages say only that creators can launch and host an LTK shop for free. Ask your account manager how the rate shown in the app relates to what you are paid.

LTK publishes an average earnings figure for the UK only. Its UK FAQ says the average LTK creator there earns £1,200 a month from posting 3 times a week. That is LTK's own claim about commission income, and LTK does not explain how it calculates the average.

Flat-fee deals come through two routes:

  • LTK Campaigns, where LTK's team plans the campaign, picks creators from its performance data, and runs it for the brand.
  • LTK Connect, a self-serve tool for direct-to-consumer brands, with plans from $99 a month. Brands send creators offers with a monetary rate and optional gifting, and you get a limited time to accept, decline, or negotiate.

Outside the US, LTK's UK FAQ says brand collaborations are a managed service. LTK publishes no campaign rates, so price each offer with the rate calculator and the guide to brand deal rates.

How and when does LTK pay?

LTK pays creator commissions weekly, once each retailer's return period has passed. It announced weekly payouts for creator commissions on August 20, 2024.

The detailed rules sit behind a login. LTK's payment help page redirects to the creator sign-in, so its payout minimum and method are not public. One LTK creator who blogs about the platform reports a $25 minimum, paid through PayPal every Friday. Treat that as a creator report, not LTK's published terms, and confirm it in your dashboard after approval.

Campaign fees have no published schedule either. Before you accept a campaign, ask when the flat fee pays and whether it depends on the brand paying LTK first. The getting paid guide lists the questions to ask.

What rights do brands get to your LTK content?

LTK publishes no standard usage terms for creators, so rights depend on each campaign. Its brand campaigns page tells brands they can "commission, license, and distribute Creator content" for their marketing channels. Its LTK Boost product lets brands promote content from creator profiles.

Read every campaign brief for where the brand can run your content and for how long. If a brand wants ad use or whitelisting, treat it as a separate fee. The usage rights guide explains how those permissions work.

Disclosure applies to both kinds of income. LTK's March 2026 guidance tells US creators to tag direct-to-retailer LTK links with #paidlink and to tag sponsored campaign posts with #ad or a clear equivalent such as #sponsored. It warns against vague tags like #collab or #spon. The guide to disclosing sponsored posts covers the FTC rules behind this.

Is LTK worth it?

LTK is worth it for creators who already post outfits, beauty finds, or home products most days and have passed 5,000 followers. The retailer network is large, it costs nothing to join, and steady posting is what puts you in front of LTK's campaign team.

It is a poor fit for creators who want flat-fee deals now. LTK keeps its commission share and payout rules behind a login, and paid campaigns go to creators with a posting record. Creators under 5,000 followers can start on ShopMy, which typically looks for 1,000. Creators who want paid posts without an affiliate habit should try Aspire or Collabstr.
