ShopMy review
ShopMy suits product-focused creators with at least 1,000 engaged followers who want commission income plus occasional flat fees. Commission pays only after sales close, typically 30 to 120 days later, and ShopMy keeps 18% unless the brand pays its fee. Skip it if you want guaranteed paid posts from day one.
Ranked 13 of 16 on our platform list. Checked October 21, 2026 by the Paid Brand Deals editorial team. ShopMy did not pay for this review, and nothing here is sponsored.
Best for. Creators who already recommend products and want commission, gifting, and flat-fee Opportunities in one dashboard.
Not for. Creators who need predictable monthly pay or who do not post shoppable product content.
What works
- Commission on the whole cart, not only the linked item
- Opportunities pay flat fees on a schedule shown before you accept
- Weekly Friday payouts with an $11 minimum
- Open to creators outside the US
What doesn't
- Commission stays pending for 30 to 120 days
- Only Trendsetters and Icons can send collaboration proposals
- ShopMy publishes no fee or rights terms for paid collaborations
- ShopMy recommends auto-approving Spotlights, which let brands run your posts as ads for commission only
How does ShopMy work for creators?
ShopMy is an affiliate platform first, where creators earn commission on product links and can also take flat-fee brand deals. You build a shop of products you recommend, share ShopMy links, and earn commission when someone buys through them. ShopMy pays on the whole cart if your link was the last one clicked, and each brand sets a cookie window from one browser session up to 30 days.
On top of commission, brands can reach you in four ways inside ShopMy:
- Gifting, where brands send you products through lookbooks.
- Opportunities, where a brand pays a flat-rate bonus for set tasks, such as sharing links, posting about a launch, or attending an event.
- Collaborations, where you and a brand agree on a price, deliverables, and deadlines for a paid partnership, and ShopMy pays you when it is done.
- Spotlights, where a brand runs one of your organic posts as a Meta partnership ad or TikTok Spark Ad, and you earn commission on the sales it drives.
That makes ShopMy two businesses in one. Commission is performance pay you cannot predict. Opportunities and collaborations are flat-fee deals, which is what this site means by a paid brand deal.
Who can join ShopMy?
ShopMy is invite based, so every creator applies through its waitlist. ShopMy says it typically looks for at least 1,000 followers on a public social account, evidence that you already share products, and an engaged audience. Each application is reviewed case by case, usually within 3 to 5 business days.
Approved creators get an invitation code by email. If you are turned down, you can reapply after 90 days. Creators outside the US can join, and ShopMy says you can link to retailers anywhere.
Once you are in, ShopMy places you in one of four tiers: Enthusiast, Ambassador, Trendsetter, and Icon. Your tier depends on the sales and traffic you drive, your activity, profile completeness, and referrals. Tier matters for paid work. Trendsetters and Icons can message brands, request gifting and discount codes, get priority on Opportunities, and send collaboration proposals. Enthusiasts and Ambassadors can only accept collaboration invitations.
How much does ShopMy pay, and what does ShopMy take?
ShopMy commission rates typically run from 10% to 30%, set by each brand or retailer. Commission applies to the order subtotal after discounts, not tax or shipping. Some retailers pay tiered rates or exclude items, so the platform shows an average.
ShopMy earns its money in one of two ways. Under its standard revenue share, you keep 82% of the commission and ShopMy keeps 18%. In other cases ShopMy bills the brand directly and you keep the full rate. The help center disagrees on what the displayed rate means. One article says it already reflects the 18% split, and another says it is the gross commission and your payout is your share. Check the per-order share in your dashboard before you compare ShopMy rates with other platforms.
Flat fees work differently. Opportunities show the bonus, requirements, tracking window, and payout timing before you accept. Collaborations are priced by you or the brand, and ShopMy offers price guidance by follower count when you set your rates. ShopMy publishes no fee on collaboration payments. Check the rate calculator before you set yours. Paid consultations through ShopMy split 80% to you and 20% to ShopMy.
How and when does ShopMy pay?
ShopMy pays creators every Friday through Stripe or PayPal, once you have at least $11 in locked earnings. Commission is the slow part. It stays pending until the retailer's return window closes, the retailer verifies the sale, and the retailer pays ShopMy, which typically takes 30 to 120 days after the purchase.
Flat fees move faster. A completed Opportunity skips the pending stage and pays either the Friday after you finish, called Same Week Payout, or after a waiting period shown on the offer, called Standard Payout. ShopMy says those terms are locked when you accept, even if the brand changes its settings later. Collaboration payments go out through Stripe by direct deposit, or with your Friday PayPal payout if you have no Stripe account.
Commission is not guaranteed. ShopMy's terms say it pays commission only after the brand pays ShopMy, that brands can reverse commissions for returns or excluded items, and that ShopMy is not an escrow agent for your earnings.
What rights do brands get to your ShopMy content?
ShopMy publishes no standard usage-rights terms for collaborations, so the terms come from each deal. Agree on where the brand can use your content, and for how long, inside the collaboration proposal before you accept.
Spotlights need the most care. Once you connect your accounts, a brand can request to run your post as a partnership ad under your handle, and you have 7 days to accept. ShopMy recommends Instant Spotlights, which approves every request automatically. The other setting, Ask Me Every Time, lets you review each request and build a roster of trusted brands. Spotlights pay commission on the sales the ad drives, not a usage fee. If you charge for ad rights elsewhere, pick Ask Me Every Time. The usage rights guide explains how ad permissions work.
Is ShopMy worth it?
ShopMy is worth it for creators who already post products their audience buys, because commission rewards that habit and the flat-fee Opportunities sit on top. Weekly payouts with an $11 minimum make the money easy to collect once it locks.
It is a weak choice if you need paid brand deals now. Commission takes 30 to 120 days to lock, priority on Opportunities goes to higher tiers, and Spotlights trade ad rights for commission. Creators who want flat fees from the start should use a marketplace such as Aspire. For a second affiliate platform with a large retailer network, compare LTK, which says 8,000 retailers pay commission through it.
